A technology lead role responsible for guiding backend and data engineering efforts within trading product teams. The position ensures the delivery of secure, high-performance applications and data-driven capabilities, provides technical leadership and coaching, collaborates with stakeholders, and drives architectural decisions in a hybrid work environment." Key responsibilities Provide technical direction and mentorship to backend and data engineering teams, ensuring compliance with standards and contributing to MicroServices architecture design. Lead the delivery of secure, high-performance backend and data-driven components by overseeing development, optimization, deployment, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather and analyze functional and technical requirements and design system architectures. Plan, supervise, and support team members throughout the delivery process, breaking down work and managing tasks. Provide user support and monitor deliverables post-release to ensure stable operations. Engage with traders, quants, developers, and product teams within a distributed agile environment to drive business outcomes. Skills and competences Mentoring and coaching developers Collaboration across technical and business teams Ownership and autonomy in problem solving Analyzing requirements and proposing technical solutions Adapting to fast-paced, demanding environments Working in distributed, multicultural teams Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in backend or data engineering roles Demonstrated experience in technical leadership or senior individual contributor roles Strong experience in Python (mandatory). Hands on experience with Kubernetes (mandatory). Cloud architecture experience (mandatory). Good understanding of networking and cyber security. Experience with electronic or algorithmic trading is an advantage. Knowledge of MicroServices based architectures is an advantage Experience working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience
